The 13th International Symposium of Health Sciences on: Innovation, Health and Technology: Multidisciplinary Approaches

On September 17, 2022, the Institute of Southeast Europe for Health and Social Policy in collaboration with Heimerer College hosted one of the greatest events in Kosovo, the 13th International Health Sciences Symposium which was held in the Swiss Diamond Hotel in Pristina.  Following two years of online editions, the event’s moderator, Mrs. Shegë Bahtiri, introduced the theme of this edition and thanked the attendees for their high level of enthusiasm for this edition which was held in a hybrid format (physically and online).  The event started with the President of the Symposium – Dr. rer. medic. Petrit Beqiri, Rector of Heimerer College – Prof. Ass. Dr. Naime Brajshori, member of the Parliament of the Republic of Kosovo – Mrs. Jeta Statovci as well as the Rector of the University of Southeast Europe in Macedonia – Acad. Prof. Dr. Abdylmenaf Bexheti. The 13th edition included 8 sessions, 4 poster presentations, and over 30 presenters from around the world who discussed their research and recent advances in technology, innovation, and multidisciplinary approaches in health with over 500 attendees.

SYMPOSIUM WINNERS!

After reviewing all of the papers presented, the Symposium’s Scientific Committee selected three oral presentations for first, second, and third place, as well as the best poster presentation.
MSc. Elina Morina took first place as the best oral presentation, followed by MBA. Isabella Schimitzek in second place and BSc. Albin Pllana in third place. BSc. Elona Bellaja took first place as the best poster presentation. The top two winners (oral and poster) will receive an all-expenses-paid study visit to Dresden, Germany. Second and third prize winners will be offered assistance in realizing and publishing their research ideas, with advice and support from ISEE-HSP and Heimerer College research experts.
